More Fun than Ever at
the Nashville Follies

The key phrase at the Nashville Follies in Coachlight Square is “More fun than ever.” This year marks the 11th season for this family friendly theatre.

You will find musical reviews with a story, magic shows with illusions, a wild animal show, and Brown County’s famed character, Abe Martin, in a musical for A Dinger of a Day.

The season kicked off with Shake, Rattle & Roll, much to the delight of the audiences. One family from Florida stated, “Season tickets to a theatre in our city cost three times as much, and the productions are about half as good.”

In May and June Jukebox Saturday Night, a musical review full of humor, great music from the 1940s to the ’80s, and dancing, will dazzle you. Music changes from the big band era to the fabulous ’50s, to the variety from great groups such as the Beach Boys and the Beatles, on to great Motown songs. Then the ’70 sounds from Sonny and Cher and other groups like ABBA will bring back memories. The ’80s tunes remind us when we were “Footloose” and looking for “Fame.” Country music can be king, and we will forever sing the song and praises of Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA.”

Also on selected Saturdays and Sundays starting May 15 and 16 at 1:30, there will be afternoon amazement by Kevin and Robin Heller ‘s World of Magic.

Have you ever seen it snow inside of a building? The magic shows will continue on alternating weekends throughout the summer and fall, and weekly in October.

July and August will feature Country USA, combining all the best in country music, dancing and fun. As with all Follies’ shows, comedy is keynote, and it never plays second fiddle or guitar or bass. If you like a good time, good singing, a little yodeling, and kickin’ up your heels, this is must-see show.

Our added special attraction in July and August is a musical salute to Abe Martin. You are invited to join us for this fun-filled, audience involved (you can be the director) show. With stories of wit and wisdom and unforgettable characters, you will find this experience a Dinger of a Day, one to remember. Previews of this show will be presented as a pre-show during the run of Jukebox Saturday Night.

In September, we will be taking the show on the road, On Route 66.

Winter Wonderland starts in November and runs through December 18.
